Welcome to Animal Farm & Nature Reserve, a dream-turned-reality nestled in the heart of Copse, Hanover, Jamaica. Once just a dense expanse I called "The Bush," this now-thriving haven emerged from my vision, transformed over weekends and early mornings, into a showcase of Jamaica's vibrant flora, fauna, and the majestic Great River.

My journey began with a childhood passion for raising chickens, a hobby that evolved into a full-fledged aviculture venture. Today, Animal Farm & Nature Reserve proudly offers organic quail meat and eggs to the local market. Our farm boasts over 50 varieties of exotic birds, including the iconic Rasta Fowl, our signature breed, known for its distinctive feather tufts resembling dreadlocks, as seen in the White Crested Black Polish Chicken.

The evolution of "The Bush" has been a remarkable journey, expanding from 6 acres to an impressive 40 acres. The acquisition of an additional 34 acres that I admired for its natural beauty and extensive river frontage, marked a pivotal moment in our growth and, on Saturday, January 8, 2000, Animal Farm & Nature Reserve was officially opened by the Honourable Francis Tulloch, M.P. then Minister of Tourism.

For me, this retreat is not just a business; it's my perfect getaway where I've cultivated a profound love for Mother Nature's precious gifts. It's a place of ultimate peace (including the near-constant crowing of our chickens), and I'm delighted to share this haven with you.
