St. John’s is the capital city of Antigua with not so much tourist attraction. Yet, small corners in the city attract travelers to cruise docks and nightlife.

Once known as the "gateway to the Caribbean" because of its location and natural harbors. From mid of December to the end of April, is the best time to visit this place. During this time, snowbirds come here to escape winter. The temperature is mild here. More than 100 picturesque stone windmills, now housing bars, shops, restaurants, and homes, serve as a testament to Antigua's role in the sugar trade.

There are many flights from the US. It also includes flights on multiple airlines from New York. Two major events in Antigua Island takes place in the year. One is Sailing Week in late April or early May, and the other one is early August Carnival. Both the events are full of calypso and steel drum music.
