Copper And Lumber Store Hotel

This intimate Antiguan Hotel is situated in the center of historic Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour is one of the original buildings constructed by Lord Nelson during the period 1783. The building was used to store copper and lumber for shipbuilding and maintenance. The process of authentic restoration and conversion of the property into a Georgian Inn was begun in 1982 and completed in 1988. Today the Dockyard houses a world-class marina facility providing the opportunity to vacation steps away from some of the most luxurious and famous yachts in the sailing world.

The hotel consists of 14 suites or studios, each named after one of Lord Nelson's ships. All are superbly furnished with authentic antiques and period pieces that perfectly enhance the weathered brickwork, hand-hewn beams, and mellow brass. Old sailing prints, steamer trunks, ceiling fans, faux gas lamps, and four-poster canopy beds exude the gracious elegance of 18th century England.

The rooms open into the center courtyard filled with tropical plants or have exquisite views of the Harbor, dotted with anchored yachts and sailboats year-round.
