Weddings
Every couple wants their wedding to be a romantic affair, and for some there is no more romantic place to tie the knot than on an exotic Caribbean island.
When it comes to Caribbean weddings, the beauty of the surroundings adds a special element to what is already a dream day. Whether you want to pledge your love on the beautifully landscaped grounds of a private villa, at sunset on a secluded white-sand beach, at a cliff-top restaurant above the sea, or at a luxury hotel, you're sure to find just the right setting for your dream Caribbean wedding.

Luxury hotels offer Caribbean wedding packages that include everything from obtaining a marriage license and booking the minister to providing the floral arrangements, wedding cake, and reception. Many also have wedding coordinators that can help with all the arrangements.

Another option is to rent a private Caribbean villa for this momentous occasion. Many Caribbean villas have a chef on staff, who can ensure that the wedding dinner is just what you planned. Many Caribbean islands have a number of wonderful wedding coordinators, who can work with you to handle all the details, from submitting the necessary paperwork and obtaining the marriage license to booking the photographer.

When planning your Caribbean wedding, be sure to inquire about fees and marriage requirements. Many of the resorts do not charge a wedding fee, but most islands charge fees that can range from $40 to $200, and which includes the marriage license. Marriage requirements differ from island to island, so once you have decided on a location for your island wedding, ask about that island's policy. You'll also want to check the island's residency requirements. Many Caribbean islands have relaxed their residency requirements with shortened or no residency, but some islands still demand that you live in the country for a certain period of time. Inquire about the health requirements on that island. Some islands require bloodwork; others do not. Make sure you know what documents you will need. If this is a second marriage you need to provide a divorce decree or death certificate showing that the first marriage is no longer valid. You'll also need to submit all the paperwork before your stay. But be sure to make copies and bring them with you to ensure that everything is in order.

The friendliness of the people, the breathtaking beauty of the islands, and the love you have for each other will make this a celebration like no other.
