El Squid Roe

Like all bad ideas, it came late in 1989 when Carlos Anderson ordered one more chalupa and billy asked for another round of mezcal. They thought it would be good to leave Carlos O'Brien's in Puerto Vallarta and move to the Baja sur desert. It was there that an abandoned warehouse was rented and began what is now known as el squid roe. Somehow this seemingly "bad" idea became brilliant.

They noticed the customers roamed the front of the premises during the morning, asking for shirts. It was when billy decided to bathe and open the doors from 9:00 am and serve breakfast. As the years went by, some strange characters joined the team, making the experience even more strange today. We realized that there was not enough space for all the clients who danced, dined, and roamed the floors, so it was decided to build a second floor and later on a third. Thirty years later, el squid roe is known as the best party in Los Cabos and therefore has attracted characters such as Beyonce, u2, Floyd Mayweather, Tupac, Emmitt Smith, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, oscar de la hoya, Alex Rodriguez, tony romo, 50 cents, and many other celebrities.

As locals and tourists alike agree, this place has been an icon in Los Cabos for many years. Your group gets the VIP treatment. That means no line upon arrival, and the host walks you to your private section, where your waiter takes care of your every need for the night. Feel free to dance and mingle without getting run into by others. Having a table means a place for your group to sit and cool off, a place to invite others over for shots, but most importantly, a table to dance on top of!
