Visit the studio of Elaine Eastern, the Artist in Residence at the Westin Resort, the Gallows Point Resort, and the Coconut Coast Villas. She specializes in watercolor landscape and seascape paintings, including underwater vistas. Her studio is located in Frank Bay, which is an easy five-minute walk from Cruz Bay.

Coconut Coast Studio holds the art of Elaine Ester, known throughout the Caribbean for her "two worlds" paintings both above and below water. Her marine scenes are full of colorful fish and coral habitats, realistic and vivid portrayals of sea life, coupled with a remarkable luminescent quality of reflected light and shadows, are hallmarks of her works. She paints only in watercolor, which seems somehow more appropriate to underwater life.

On the beautiful island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Elaine Eastern is living the dream. Residing above her studio on Frank Bay, you can find her painting the scenic vistas from her front porch at Coconut Coast Studios. Her chocolate labs, Godiva and Truffles, are happy to greet you at the door. Inside, you can find original watercolors, giclee, prints, framed tile murals, magnets, note cards, gifts, souvenirs and more.
