The oldest and the favorite local beach bar on Northside, Kaibo Beach Bar combines the feel of a down-to-earth beach shack with the elegance of one of the Island's finer establishments. It may have seen several transformations since the purpose-built beach shack was first erected to serve drinks to HRH Queen Elizabeth on her tour of Grand Cayman. However, Kaibo's charm remains intact.

KAIBO beach bar's bamboo and copper bar, with thatch roof and fairy light trim is at the heart of this small piece of paradise. A huge selection of ice-cold beer is devotedly covered by fresh mountains of ice day and night. Wonderful bar staff, retro beach signs on the back wall, free wifi, an affordable menu of island specialties, beach volley, and comprehensive water sports add to the attraction to spend your day at Kaibo Beach. Not to mention the list of tropical cocktails to complete the beach experience. It's decidedly unpretentious and a favorite with beach bums, off-duty professionals, watersport fanatics, dog owners, relaxed families, and, of course, the locals. Come to watch the boats pull into the marina, the boating crowd visit the gas station, and then frequent the bar for their own refueling. Even when the 'sunset crowd' regulars pile into this paradise retreat there is always plenty of space on the white sand beach.

The food is great, fresh, simple, and generous in portion. Check the chalkboards for daily specials and be sure to try the snack-worthy beach nibbles selection. From sunset, Kaibo will fill up with regulars, but pull up a stool at the bar with arguably the best view on the island, and you'll be made to feel welcome. There is a separate kids menu for younger diners.
