In 1966, Spencer Stapleton started with one jeep, a mini moke on the paradise island of St. John, United States Virgin Islands. In 1977, Spencer obtained a taxi license in order to give travelers a driven view of his island if they didnët want to drive. This thus began a relationship that would help Spencer become a leader in its field. In 1981, Spencer decided to branch out on his own and founded Spencer's Jeep Rental & Taxi Service, Inc. He quickly established an identity as the best in localized, personal service. The company's motto, which he embraced, Quality Service Is Our Business is no understatement. Over the years, Spencer would go on to pioneer many industry features to improve the rental & taxi experience for customers.
