To paint for me is to create a reflection in a mirror, into which everyone is invited to look in. I want to offer a proposal to the viewer so that they can travel inside themselves. Painting is a language I have spoken since I was a child. I have felt it grow with personality over time. The painting is like a living being. Everything I paint has a life of its own. At a certain point, it stops being my thing and becomes my way of relating to the viewer. It is journalism in Mexico: the country I love. A chronicle of actuality. A concept.

The Spanish artist Enrique Bascón and the French artist Didier Henry Mellin exhibit at the Francisco Villa Museum in the city of Durango, México. The exhibition finished with a total of 8500 visitors over the 75 days showing. The representation of these foreign artists who have settled in Mexico made a very good impression on the city of Durango and its visitors says the museum.
